The 4 Valleys ski area:
Haute-Nendaz is in the middle of the extensive 4 Valleys ski area, which includes Verbier, Siviez, Thyon, and Veysonnaz and provides fantastic skiing for all levels of skiier. It has an excellent snow record. At 3,300m, the Mont Fort symbolises the peak of the 4-Valleys domain which has 412km of pistes and offers excellent skiing for all levels. The Haute-Nendaz main lift is easily accessed by a funicular which is a short/5 minute walk away. This lift takes you to Tracouet and a nursery/beginner area in an attractive setting. Lessons are easy to organise. The Nendaz ski area links directly to Siviez and from Siviez you can ski towards Verbier or Veysonnaz and Thyon. There is a huge area to explore. There is a choice of buying a ticket to ski just in Nendaz or one that gives access to the whole area. The lifts at Siviez are only 15 minutes by car or free ski bus and offer excellent access for skiing to Verbier, Thyon or Veysonnaz. Alternatively it is 30 minutes to Veysonnaz by car. Nendaz has the “Families Welcome” accreditation.
For non-skiers, or if you want a break, why not try snow shoeing? Snowshoeing and winter hiking are also very popular here with 40km of snowshoeing trails and over 100km of winter walking trails.
